    EPSTI1 wt Allele

    Human EPSTI1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 13q13.3 and is approximately 106 kb in length. This allele, which encodes epithelial stromal interaction protein 1, may play a role in the mediation of the interactions between stromal and epithelial cells. The gene is expressed aberrantly at elevated levels in invasive breast cancers. (NCI Thesaurus)
