    Gordonia bronchialis

    Definition 1

    A species of aerobic, Gram positive, coryneform bacteria assigned to the phylum Actinobacteria. This species is catalase positive, slightly acid fast, nonmotile and contains lipoparabinomannan like lipoglycans in the cell wall. G. bronchialis is an opportunistic pathogen, causing infection at medical device implantation sites and wound sites in surgical patients. (NCI Thesaurus)
