    Minimal Change Glomerulonephritis

    Definition 1

    A glomerular disorder characterized by the electron microscopic finding of loss of podocyte foot processes. Light microscopic examination does not show glomerular changes. Patients present with proteinuria and nephrotic syndrome. (NCI Thesaurus)

    Glomerular disease causing heavy proteinuria characterized by absence of obvious histologic glomerular changes on light microscopy. It is also called minimal change glomerular disease and minimal lesion glomerulonephritis. (NLM, Medical Subject Headings)
