    Omaciclovir

    An acyclic guanosine analog with activity against varicella zoster virus (VZV) and other members of the herpesvirus family. Omaciclovir is selectively phosphorylated by viral thymidine kinase to its monophosphate form and is further modified to a triphosphate, which is an inhibitor of VZV DNA polymerase.
