    Oncotype DX ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) assay

    Pronunciation

    A test that is being studied as a way to help predict whether ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) will come back or become invasive and spread to other tissues in the same breast. The test looks at the activity of 12 different genes in DCIS tissue, and it may be used to help plan treatment. (NCI Dictionary)
