    PSMA Peptide

A peptide based on HLA-A*0201 restricted peptides of the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). Prostate epithelial cells express PSMA and overexpression has been detected in hormone refractory prostate carcinoma. Autologous dendritic cells are used to deliver the peptides to the patient. Recombinant PSMA peptide may trigger a cytotoxic T-cell response to prostate cancer cells. (NCI Thesaurus)
