    RYK wt Allele

Human RYK wild-type allele is located within 3q22 and is approximately 94 kb in length. This allele, which encodes tyrosine-protein kinase RYK protein, plays a role in Wnt-mediated signaling which regulates developmental processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation and epithelial-mesenchymal interactions. The RYK gene is overexpressed in epithelial ovarian cancer. (NCI Thesaurus)
