    DEK/NUP214 Fusion Gene

    A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(6;9)(p23;q34) which fuses almost the entire DEK gene with the 5' side of exon 18 of the NUP214 gene. This rearrangement is associated with acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome. (NCI Thesaurus)
