    Tetrahydrozoline

    An imidazole derivative with sympathomimetic activity. Applied locally to the eye or nose, tetrahydrozoline binds to and activates alpha-adrenergic receptors, resulting in vasoconstriction and decreased nasal and ophthalmic congestion. (NCI Thesaurus)
